Tekoälyfoorumi terms of use

Welcome to Tekoälyfoorumi (tekoalyfoorumi.fi). These terms describe how you may use our service and what responsibilities and rights you have as a user of Tekoälyfoorumi. By registering for or using Tekoälyfoorumi’s services, you agree to comply with these terms.

Registration and user accounts

Creating an account: You are free to browse Tekoälyfoorumi without registering, but to get the full experience (discussion, commenting, and notifications) you need to create a user account.

Accurate information: When registering you undertake to provide current and truthful information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all use that takes place through your account.

Managing your profile: A user account is public by default; you can, however, make your profile private and manage your notification settings. Contact the editorial team if you need help with your account settings.

Misuse: If you suspect unauthorised use of your account or notice any other misuse, contact us immediately.

Discussion forum to be opened in the future: Tekoälyfoorumi has the right to add a registered user automatically to a new discussion forum the first time it is introduced or opened, so that the user can immediately benefit from the forum’s discussions and content.

Publishing and commenting

Prohibited conduct: Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, and other inappropriate or unlawful content are not accepted on Tekoälyfoorumi. We have the right to remove such posts immediately and to close a user account permanently without warning.

User responsibility: You are responsible for the content you publish, including comments and discussions. You must ensure that your content does not infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy, or other rights.

Reference rights: A user’s public comments or other writing published on Tekoälyfoorumi may be republished in Tekoälyfoorumi’s marketing and social media channels. If you register with an organisation’s email address, Tekoälyfoorumi may use that organisation’s name and logo on its site and in its marketing materials (for example, in the style of “Tekoälyfoorumi is read at organisations including: [logo carousel]”), without disclosing your email address or other personal information. Limitation of liability

General information: Tekoälyfoorumi provides news, articles, and a discussion platform relating to artificial intelligence. All information on the site is intended as general information and does not constitute legal, financial, or technical advice.

Operator’s limitation of liability: Tekoälyfoorumi and its operator (Legit AI Oy) are not liable for users’ decisions or actions or their consequences, even where these are based on information presented on the site.

Right to correction and removal: If you notice errors in your own or others’ publications, or you have justified grounds to request that a piece of writing be edited or removed, you can contact us. Tekoälyfoorumi reserves the right to assess each case individually and to decide to what extent text is edited or removed.

Applicable law and dispute resolution

Applicable law: These terms are governed by Finnish law.

Dispute resolution: Any disputes will primarily be resolved by negotiation. If no settlement is reached, the matter may be brought before the competent district court in the domicile of the user or of Tekoälyfoorumi’s operator.

User rights and data protection

Data protection: We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and comply with applicable data protection laws.

Newsletters: By registering you consent to us sending you Tekoälyfoorumi newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the end of every newsletter or through your account settings.

Your settings: You can manage and update your information, notifications, and other settings, or ask us to do so on your behalf, by contacting the editorial team.

Intellectual property rights

User content: Copyright in your own content remains with you. You do, however, grant Tekoälyfoorumi the right to use content of yours that is publicly displayed on the site (for example, comments) for the development, presentation, and marketing of the service.

Special terms for writers

Applying to write: Registering as a user does not mean an automatic right to publish texts (other than comments) on Tekoälyfoorumi. Tekoälyfoorumi selects its own writers, and you can apply to write here.

Terms of use: Writers are also users of Tekoälyfoorumi and are bound by the same terms as other users. All writers are required to commit to these terms of use and to the instructions of Tekoälyfoorumi’s editorial team.

Publication rights: Tekoälyfoorumi has the right to decide on the publication of texts, their publication date, any technical edits (for example, relating to SEO), and their removal. Changes to the substance of a text are approved by the writer before final publication.

Right to promote: Writers are free to promote the writing they have published on Tekoälyfoorumi and to present themselves as a Tekoälyfoorumi expert in other contexts.

Validity and amendment of these terms

Acceptance: These terms take effect when you register for or begin using Tekoälyfoorumi.

Updates: We may change these terms of use from time to time. We will announce material changes on the site or by email. By continuing to use the service after changes, you accept the updated terms.
